My Story
What made you want to be a part of IGLFA?
Prior to the inception of IGLFA we were just a group of team with little direction and a need for structure. I volunteered to head the steering committee and work to put together the documents and people who became our first board of director and me as the first president were all voted in by the existing participating team
Why would you recommend attending IGLFA supported tournaments?

To find a safe space to play for all LGBTQ+ individuals with the common goal for being an athlete and sharing the comradery with fellow players
What have been the benefits for you of being your authentic self in football?

Being able to share my experiences for each player that decides to find a place in LGBTQ+ soccer
What changes are you seeing in the football industry that are making it more inclusive?

I think the overall acceptance of LGBTQ+ in every part of society also makes it easier to be out and proud in your daily life as well as on the field.
How has connecting with other LGBTQ+ people in football helped you personally and professionally?

I Personally have been able to understand the world better, understand myself and others with much more caring and empathy.
Who are the LGBTQ+ people in football who inspire you and why?

Our original hall of fame member Toronto referee B.J. Millar was a great inspiration for me he pushed me into taking the lead role in the formation of IGLFA.
